Do you own a stick by any chance? I bought the travel size one last year, and I think it's really helping with my ITB issues. It also feels pretty good when I've got tight calves/hammys. I had to tell someone they did something wrong at work the other day, and while it wasn't a big deal at all I was so nervous. I've had a similar roommate situation to what it sounds like you're dealing with, and it was the pits! I hated coming home because I knew I was going to see some mess she'd left and it was going to make me insane.
